1. THE BEST HOLIDAY EVER
Last year, I went to Spain with my family and it was the best holiday ever! We stayed in a beautiful hotel by the sea, and every day we went swimming in the ocean. One day, we visited a famous museum and saw amazing paintings. Another day, we went on a boat trip and saw dolphins swimming in the water. I also loved trying different Spanish foods, especially paella and churros. I had so much fun playing in the sand and collecting seashells. I can’t wait to go back to Spain someday!
2. MY FIRST DAY AT SCHOOL
I remember my first day at school. I was so nervous that I couldn’t sleep the night before. When I arrived at school, I felt scared because there were so many kids and I didn’t know anyone. But then my teacher smiled at me and showed me my classroom. She was very nice and made me feel better. I met a girl named Sarah who sat next to me and we became friends right away. We played together during recess and even shared our snacks. I was really happy when my mom came to pick me up and told me I had been brave. It was a fun day and I couldn’t wait to go back to school the next day!
3. A DAY AT THE ZOO
One Saturday, my dad took me to the zoo for the first time. I was so excited to see all the animals! When we arrived, I could hear the lions roaring and the monkeys chattering. We saw a huge elephant spraying water with its trunk, and I laughed when it splashed us! My favorite part was watching the penguins waddle around and swim in their pool. They were so funny! We also saw a giraffe eating leaves from a tall tree, and I learned that they have long tongues to help them eat. At the end of the day, we got ice cream, and I chose chocolate chip cookie dough. It was the best day ever!
4. MY FUNNY PET STORY
I have a funny story about my pet dog, Max. One day, I was doing my homework at the table and Max was lying on the floor. Suddenly, he got up and started barking at something outside. He was so excited that he knocked over my mom’s plant pot! Soil flew everywhere and got all over the floor. Max ran over to me with dirt on his nose as if to say sorry. I couldn’t help but laugh at him because he looked so cute. My mom wasn’t mad when she saw it was Max’s fault; instead, we both cleaned up together. Max is such a silly dog!
5. THE DAY I GOT LOST
When I was seven years old, I got lost in a store. My mom took me to the mall to buy some clothes. She told me to stay close to her, but I wandered off to look at toys. After a few minutes, I realized I couldn’t see her anywhere! I started to feel scared and didn’t know what to do. Then, I saw a nice lady who worked at the mall and told her I was lost. She helped me find my mom by calling the mall security. When I finally found my mom, she hugged me tightly and said she was worried about me. I learned to never wander off again!
6. MY TRIP TO THE MOUNTAINS
Last summer, my family went on a trip to the mountains. We stayed in a cozy cabin surrounded by tall trees and beautiful nature. Every morning, we woke up to the sound of birds singing outside our window. One day, we went hiking on a trail that led us to a stunning waterfall. The water was so cold that we dipped our feet in it and took lots of pictures. At night, we roasted marshmallows over a campfire and made s’mores, which were delicious! I even spotted some stars in the sky and learned about constellations from my dad. It was an unforgettable trip!
7. MY FIRST TIME SWIMMING
I remember my first time swimming like it was yesterday! It was a hot summer day, and my family took me to the beach for vacation. My dad excitedly ran into the water with me, but when the waves splashed on my face, I got scared and cried. My mom comforted me and encouraged me to try again. With her help, I learned how to float on my back and paddle my arms like a little frog! We played games in the water all day long, and by the end of the day, I didn’t want to leave! It was such a fun experience.
8. MY FAVORITE TEACHER
In elementary school, my favorite teacher was Mrs. Johnson. She made learning fun and always had a smile on her face. One time, she dressed up as a character from our history lesson and acted out the story for us! We all laughed so much that day. Mrs. Johnson also encouraged us to express our creativity; in her class, we could write poems or stories about anything we wanted. She would hang our work on the classroom walls for everyone to see! I remember one poem I wrote about summer got a special sticker from her.
9. MY FAMILY CELEBRATION
Every year on New Year’s Eve, my family has a special celebration at home. We invite our closest relatives for dinner, and it’s always a lot of fun! My mom cooks delicious dishes like pasta and pizza, while my dad makes tasty appetizers and desserts. After dinner, we play games together like charades or Pictionary; it’s hilarious seeing each other act out different words! At midnight, we celebrate with sparkling juice and fireworks in our backyard.
10. A MEMORABLE WINTER
Last winter break was memorable because of all the snow! My family went to visit my grandparents in a snowy town, and everything looked like a winter wonderland with white-covered trees and houses.
Every morning, we built snowmen outside while wearing warm hats and gloves. We even had snowball fights between family members! One day, we went sledding down a big hill near my grandparents’ house; it was so much fun racing each other!
